Aircraft Type Training.
Aircraft type training in Australia provides specialised education and certification for maintenance engineers on specific aircraft models. This training, approved by CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority), ensures that engineers are proficient in the maintenance, repair, and operation.
Learjet 35/36 B1 & B2 (Honeywell TFE731)
The Learjet 35/36 Aircraft Type Course provides specialised training for maintenance engineers, developed in accordance with CASA Part 66 MOS Level 3 type training, particularly Appendix III. This course covers:
- Aircraft construction
- Electrical and avionics systems
- Airframe system/component interfaces
- Engine mechanical arrangement and construction
Objectives:
- B1 & B2 LAME: Perform certification privileges on specified aircraft and engine.
- AME: Conduct routine and unscheduled airframe maintenance.
Students will gain detailed theoretical knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting, and proficiency in using manuals and approved procedures.

Learjet 60 (PW 305) Differences Course
This course focuses on the differences between the Learjet 35/36 (Honeywell TFE731) and Learjet 60 (PWC PW305) aircraft and covers both theory and practical (POC) aspects.
The Learjet 60 Differences Course equips LAMEs with the skills to perform certification privileges on the specified aircraft and engine. The course covers detailed theoretical knowledge of aircraft systems, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, as per Part 66 MOS, Appendix III. Students will also learn to use manuals and approved procedures, including relevant inspections and limitations.
Note: Students must hold a CASA B1.1 or B2 licence endorsed with the Learjet 35/36 type rating or have completed a CASA approved Learjet 35/36 type course to attend this course.
Learjet 31/31A (Honeywell TFE731) Differences Course
This course focuses on the differences between the Learjet 35/36 (Honeywell TFE731) and Learjet 31/31A (Honeywell TFE731) aircraft.
The course covers detailed theoretical knowledge of aircraft systems, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in comparison to the Learjet 35/36. Students will also learn to use manuals and approved procedures, including relevant inspections and limitations.
Note: Students must hold a CASA B1.1 or B2 licence endorsed with the Learjet 35/36 type rating or have completed a CASA approved Learjet 35/36 type course to attend this course.

On Job Training (OJT) Packages
These packages consist of a logbook to record practical on-the-job for the specified aircraft type ratings and are completed at the student’s pace. Courses designated “25% additional tasks only” must be completed in conjunction with a Theory course and Practical On Course (POC) to apply for the type rating.
